Hangin with Dad and Jetta

I got to hang out with Dad and Jetta tonight. Dad was working on the computer. Jetta saw my camo sleeper and thought we were going hunting. Not yet Jetta, only another 9 1/2 years....

I can Roll Over!

I rolled over from my back to my belly today! Maybe tomorrow I'll start crawling........or maybe not. Love, H.

What thumb

I'm learning how to suck my thumb. Now I don't even need my pacifier. Gotcha Mom!

Circus Time

Last Thursday I went to the circus with Adam, Kim, Ian, and Izlee. Dad tried to give me some cotton candy, but Mom took it away from him. Silly Dad, I don't eat candy, I'm sweet enough as it is!

We saw lions and tigers, and clowns, and trapeze girls, and more clowns, and peanuts........zzzzzzz........it was fun!

Hangin Out

I hung out on the shore while Dad and Josh were swimming. Summer is so fun that it tires me out!

More Swimming!

We went swimming last Monday with Josh and Cassie. Dad and Josh jumped off the bridge so they could be cool like the high school kids. Be careful what you teach me Dad!

Bath Time!

Mom got me a new bathtub. I think I like Dad's showers better. Mom dried me off in my Indian headdress towel; do I look like Pochontas? After my bath Mom tried to style my hair. Do people really pay you to do that, Mom?

Mt Borah

Dad and Uncle Will climbed Mt. Borah on Sunday. Uncle Will wanted to climb Idaho's highest peak before he left for New York. It took them 3 hours and 15 minutes to reach the top. Not bad for 5,000 feet of elevation gain! Dad said I have to wait until I'm 8 years old to go to Mt. Borah. That's when he'll forget how grueling the trip was!

Water Time!

Mom, Dad, Jetta, and I hung out at the Owsley bridge boat docks on Friday afternoon to cool off. Mom said the temperature was triple digits - wow! I kept cool in the shade with a damp towel. Jetta retrieved the dog dummy so many times that Dad swam after her and got the dummy first. Silly Daddy!

Chad, Andrea, Hayden and Taylor met us at the boat docks and we all went out to eat at the Riverboat restaurant - yummy! Chad wants to take Mom and Dad out on his boat this summer - what about me?? I have a life jacket too!

Hi!

Hi Blog followers. Just me, hanging out in my bumbo chair.

Bye Uncle Will

Everyone had fun at the crawfish boil. There were lots of crawfish, sweet corn, red potatoes, elk and antelope kabobs, lots of side dishes, and a dutch oven bread pudding that Dad's boss made. Yummy! Of course, I wouldn't know, because nobody shared any yummy food with me!

This is the third summer in a row that Mom and Dad have hosted a crawfish boil. I hope they have another one next year so I can try them!
We said goodbye to Unlce Will on Sunday. He's moving to Ithica, New York at the end of the month. We'll miss him in Idaho!

Harley Time!

I got to meet lots of new friends. Mom and Hunter held me for awhile and then I fell asleep with Sabrina.

Everyone kept me safely away from Jetta and her friends, but Graham (Derrick and Lisa's son) got to play with them. Someday........

Boil Time!

Dad and Hunter (Ron and Cheryl's son) cooked the crawfish in a giant pot. Hunter even grabbed the live crawfish out with his bare hands. He's pretty brave!

Crawfish in the Pool

The afternoon was really warm (95 F) so Dad filled up the swimming pool. Jetta wasn't sure what to do with the crawfish in the pool, but it kept her entertained.

Crawfish Party!

We hosted a crawfish party on Saturday night. Dad has been trapping crawfish all week with his neighbor, Steve and Steve's son, Tyler. They caught 175 crawfish! Mom said I'm not old enough to eat one yet, but we'll see if I can convince Dad to give me one.

Uncle Will's Sturgeon fishing Trip

Uncle Will and his friends Bob and Kevin drove over on Friday to go sturgeon fishing. They met Dad and James (Dad's old co-worker) at the sturgeon fishing hole, while Mom and I visited some friends in Twin Falls. They hooked two sturgeon; the first fell off after 15 minutes and the second spooled 300 yards of 50 pound line off like a runaway freight train before it broke the line. Dad said that was the "Pasadena Express" fish that must be over 9 feet long. Sounds like a fishing tale to me!
Uncle Will did catch two pike minnows (squawfish) and Jetta found a nice place to sleep on Bob's sleeping bag for the night.

Mom and Dad's Anniversary

Mom and Dad had their third anniversary on July 7th. Anna came over to our house to play with me while Mom and Dad went rafting after work with Josh and Cassie. I think they had fun! Afterwards, everyone came back to our house for a BBQ.

Goodbye Camping

This was our last morning. Dad let Jetta in the camper for her first time all trip. She was too dirty for Mom's standards. I don't want to go yet, but its already Monday. Bye-bye mountains and comfy camper.........

Fireworks

We went to Stanley to see the fireworks. I got hungry during the show, so Mom and I sat in the truck. Dad took pictures so we could see the fireworks afterwards.

Redfish Lake

Dad finally gave up on salmon fishing. Another fisherman told him only 17 fish arrived at the Hatchery weir since the season started on Saturday. Dad wasn't really convinced until the tribal fisherman with spears didn't have any fish either. We packed up our stuff and went to Redfish lake. What an awesome view!

A Fish!

Mom, Miranda, and I finally found Dad and Jeremy. We found a nice spot along the river to have a picnic. Dad even managed to catch a steelhead smolt that came from his hatchery in April. Dad explained to the little smolt that he was supposed to swim to the ocean as he threw him back in the river. Jetta decided to give the little smolt some extra motivation to get migrating. Maybe Dad shouldn't have taught her to retrieve fish at Mackey Reservoir!

Salmon Fishing

Dad and Jeremy didn't catch any salmon. Mom, Miranda, and I made them lunch, but they were already gone when we arrived. Fishing was so slow, even Jetta fell asleep!

Hangin' Out

Its warm today! Dad and Jeremy slept in. They said the salmon don't wake up early anyhow. I hung out with Dad around the fire. He let me wear his hat to keep the sun out of my eyes.

Wake-up Time

Its finally the 4th of July. Mom and Dad finally put socks on my hands to keep them warm at night. Why didn't they think of that earlier. Dad says he is going to catch a salmon today. Go Dad!
