Still waiting......

Mom and Dad went to the doctor today. I was pretty excited because I went to Kristen's house. I thought I might be sleeping over, but Mom and Dad came back two hours later.

My baby sister isn't ready to come out yet. Mom's doctor stripped her membranes and did a bio-physical of the baby via ultrasound. Everything looks good and with any luck, something should start happening in the next 24-48 hours. I'll start holding my breath..........NOW.................ah........ah...........ah..........whooo.......that was a long time! Mom!

Mom and Dad have another appointment on Friday.

On the way home, Dad spotted 5 gobblers. He thinks this is another good sign. Dad, I think you've been with Grandpa too much!

Still No Baby

Mom thought she might have had a mild contraction tonight. Come out, come out, wherever you are!

Mom and Dad are going to talk to the doctor tomorrow. I'm going to Lars and Kristen's house just in case. Even Jetta was acting funny tonight around Mom. And all those fish that Dad caught. If Dad had any money, he'd bet it with you for tonight! I'll be a big sister soon!

Love, Harley.

Dad's Fish

Dad caught a giant fish tonight! Every since Grandpa told Dad's kindergarten teacher he was going to a funeral and then took him fishing; Dad has a warped sense of good times to go fishing. Dad caught 2 fish, broke his line on big bertha, and lost 4 others. He's was pretty excited. Dad's convinced that Baby is going to come tonight after all of that luck!

Baby's Deer and Antelope

Mom is starting to call these Baby's deer and antelope since she was pregnant when she got both. Dad thought they would look good in baby's room........Mom decided that they were no longer welcome upstairs. Nice try, Dad!

A blanket for Baby

Lars and Kristen brought baby a new blanket on Sunday. I'm going to stay with them when Mom and Dad go to the hospital. When are you guys going, anyhow???

Playing with Dad

We spent the weekend waiting for baby to arrive. When she didn't, Mom decided to go for a walk - that didn't work either!! I played with Dad for awhile while Mom fretted about baby. I've been a little crabby all weekend because I have two molars coming in. Teething isn't any fun!

Mom's due date came and past this weekend (Feb 25), but my baby sister didn't come out yet? More later............love, Harley.

New Stroller

Mom is in her nesting phase for my new sister. Despite the snow, we drove to Moscow this weekend to look at a BOB double stroller that Mom found on Craigslist. As soon as I saw the stroller I wanted to ride in it. Then I gave Dad the special eyes and he bought it for me - you owe me Mom!

We are only 5 more days away from my baby sister's due date. I'm not sure I want to share Mom and Dad, but they say it will be alright. I've been practicing changing diapers on my baby doll. Dad is pretty excited about that!

Mom is feeling pretty good still. We went on short walks every day this week. The doctor and vet said that is good for Mom and Jetta. I'm tired of walks - Mom doesn't even let me splash in the puddles anymore!

Deer

Dad taught me how to say "deer" so I can say goodnight to Mom's deer. Dad is pretty excited that he snuck it into the living room to hang up. Mom says that resting spot is very temporary!

Trapping with Dad

Mom and I went with trapping with Dad this weekend just up the mountain from our house. There is lots of snow up there! Dad was pretty excited because we caught 4 ermine. Dad says he's going to make me some pretty white mittens - Mom thinks Dad has gone crazy!

Breakfast of Champions!

I miss Mom's breakfasts! Okay Dad, I ate all the crust off, you can eat the rest!

Playing in the Sandbox

Dad, don't you think its a little cold to be playing outside????

Valentine's Day Card

Great Grandma and Grandpa Witte sent me a Valentine's Day card! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Whoppi Pies

Mom and I made whoppi pies for Dad on Valentine's Day. Dad, you don't mind if I lick my fingers, right?

Wait - what did Mom and Dad make for me??

Valentine's Day

Dad and I made breakfast for Mom on Valentine's Day! Dad told me to jump on the bed to wake Mom up. She was soooooooo excited to see me at 6 am!!

Just Me!

Only a couple of weeks left before I'll have a baby sister. I don't really know what is in store, but I know that Mom is excited to be finished with her pregnancy! Any day now!

Naptime!

Taking a nap with my new favorite baby........

Mom's deer

Dad and I worked on Mom's deer mount. Gee Mom, this would look great in my baby sister's room.................

Going Fishing

Dad let me walk Jetta to go fishing on the North Fork River. All the fisherman kept asking Dad what his little boy's name was. When he responded, "Harley", they said, "Great name!" Mom told Dad I have to wear something more girlish next time I go fishing!

Squirrels

The squirrels couldn't figure out how to get into the bird feeder - so they took it down for us!

Washing Dishes

Hey Dad - I don't think this one is clean yet!

Planting a Cherry Tree

We went to the Green Things Nursery last Saturday in Orofino and picked out a cherry tree. Dad said we'd plant a new tree for my baby sister. Dad, you only planted elm trees for me back in Hagerman!

Fixing Dad's trailer

I helped Dad fix his boat trailer last weekend. He said uncle Jeremy broke it 3 years ago when he hit a deer. Uncle Jeremy claims he still owes Dad payback for blowing-up his Blazer truck between Little Rock and Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 10 years ago. Where is Arkansas, Dad?

Dad said he fixed this trailer 3 years ago with a come-along, but it doesn't look very straight to me......plus the Les Schwab tire guys know us by name, now. I think it was about time you bought a new axle, Dad!

A new book

Brandy and Samantha sent me a new book about my baby sister. She also sent us matching clothes. Mom thought it would be a great idea to have me carry my doll around the house so I would get used to my new baby sister. Everything was going great until I saw Jetta and wanted to play. Then, my baby sister went flying across the room and bonked into the wall. Not to worry, Jetta picked her up and shook her to make sure everything was alright.

Mom......MOM........MOM!!! Why are you shaking your head in the corner?????
