Getting Ready for the Dam Race

We went to the race across the dam on Saturday to try our luck. Mom and I entered the 3K walk/run and Dad entered the 5K run. Good luck!

Fishing with Rick

Rick took us out in his boat again on Friday afternoon. Mom and I had to go home at 7:00 pm. Just after we left, Mom's pole got a bite and Rick reeled in a 34" salmon. We should have stayed longer, Mom!

Watching Rick and Mark

Rick and Mark (our neighbors) were working on a water leak in our front yard on Friday. I had fun giving them orders all day through the screen window. Good job fixing our leak!

Walking and riding

I'm walking everywhere. I even crawled up on my tricycle all by myself. Unfortunately, I can't reach the pedals yet. Dad told Mom he was going to tie some blocks of wood to my shoes. Mom put the tricycle away and said I wasn't old enough yet.

Dad's Fishing Trips

Dad's first Idaho salmon; a jack (1-ocean male).

Dad's fishing trip with Jerry McGehee - wow that guy knows how to fish!

Dad's trip with Lars before work - the first salmon in Dad's boat...

Dad has been fishing most of the week. He gets up at 3:00 am to get the right spot on the river. He caught 12 salmon this week (10 jacks and 2 adults). We had salmon on the grill, in cans, in salads - yep, I still don't like salmon!

Watching

Other kids are so silly. I'm glad I'm all grown-up and don't need to play silly games in the sandbox!

A balloon

I had a great time with this balloon until I popped it! Mom thought I would cry, but I didn't.... I just looked around on the ground and found a stick to play with - so many neat toys here!
