Kite Flying

It was windy today, so we found my kite in our stash of things.  Of course, we couldn't find all the pieces, so we had to improvise with packing tape and ka-boob sticks.  But, we got it up in the air.  Well....sort of.......the ka-boob sticks were kind of off balance, so it would go up for about 30 seconds, start doing death spirals and then crash down to the ground to our delight.  Emy and I chased it everywhere and only got hit 3 times!

Fishing on Storrie Lake

We fished on Storrie lake on Sunday.  We caught 4 trout before it got so windy that Dad decided we should head back.  We had a blast!

Picnic

Campfire Wood

The brush chipper broke while Dad was using it.  But, he got a lot done before it gave it up.  From all the branches, we had a ton of firewood for our firepit!  Yipee!

Tree Climbing

We found this really cool tree in Taos.  Dad stayed home to run all the branches he cut last Fall through the brush chipper.  Mom got scared because I was so high in the tree.  I told Mom that Dad wouldn't be scared :-)

I didn't win any points with that comment!

Taos Weekend

We went to Taos this weekend on Saturday.  We had a blast watching all the motorcyles go through town (there was a rally this weekend) and playing at Twirl (the toy store).

Trampoline

I can jump really high on our trampoline!

Floating Boats

The creek by our house had water in it this week!  We've had the wettest spring on record for the last 10-years or so in Mora.  That's great news, because New Mexico has been in an extended drought for a long time now.

Mom showed us how to make leaf boats and have boat races down the creek.  It was fun!  Unfortunately, the creek dried up by this weekend, but it was fun while it lasted!

We may still see it run again, it was snowing yesterday within sight of our house on the mountain.  Seems like spring will never get here!

New Roof!

Lot's of things are going on inside our new house (plumbing, electrical, tubs, etc.).  And, they started putting the roof on!

Washing Mom's car

It was finally the last straw when Emy smeared chapstick on the window of Mom's car.  She decided we were all going to help clean it!  Emy and I did our best and now Mom says its sooo clean that we can't eat in her car anymore!  I'm not sure how we benefitted out of this ordeal????

After visiting Arizona Tile we went to Lowe's to look at some more options.  It was a long day of shopping for our house!  We took a snack break in the cart to bide our time.

Picking out Countertops

Last weekend we drove to Albuquerque to find a countertop for our new house.  We had a blast putting on hard hats and looking at all the pretty counters!
